“Strength doesn’t come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things that you thought you couldn’t.” (unknown)
I’m Seleana, a mother and an award-winning communications professional with more than 15-years’ experience in strategic communication for social impact causes. However, Autism Awareness and Autism Awareness specifically for vulnerable populations, is a cause near and dear to my heart through living it with my daughter.
My daughter has always been my greatest inspiration and now the catalyst for this site. She has agreed to help me share our story in order to help people with autism and those who love them.
As a caregiver to a teen girl on the spectrum, this site provides my very transparent and personal perspective on living with a teen daughter with Asperger’s. I’m committed to staying current on what’s new in autism research, interventions, services, resources and celebrate neurodiversity!
As she’s able, Sahleah will occasionally bring her sunshine our way.
